Congratulation to the new born CILTHK Young Achiever 2020!


The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong Announces the CILTHK Young Achiever 2020

CILTHK Young Achiever Award aims at providing encouragement and an international recognition for young members in the profession.

 

It is our great pleasure to announce Mr. YEUNG Wai-lok, Philip, CMILT is elected the CILTHK Young Achiever of the year. Philip was honoured at the CILTHK Annual General Meeting 2020 on 17 September and will be nominated by the Council to represent CILTHK to compete for the International Young Achiever Award 2021 held at the next CILT International Convention in Perth, Australia..

 

Philip joined Ove Arup & Partners Hong Kong Ltd. in 2018 and is currently a Project Manager in Operations Consulting. He has years of experiences in logistics setup and business process improvement especially on Hospital Logistics and Warehouse Automation. Philip started his career as a management trainee in DKSH Hong Kong Ltd. after graduation in 2015. At DKSH, he was involved in various logistics project development and implementation. Philip had continued to the project of Warehouse Automation for Healthcare Distribution Centre in DKSH  which DKSH was awarded with different honours and he was therefore recognised with the honour of Corporate Values & Leadership Principles Award 2017 by the company. Philip also completed his Master Degree in Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management in University of Hong Kong. Leveraging his logistics engineering and project management expertise, Philip realised his Master degree research study 'Logistics Warehouse Operations and Automation Application for E-commerce Business'  into different logistics and supply chain management projects. Philip has successfully set up a standard model to promote automated logistics solutions for warehouse operations in achieving high space utilisation and efficient productivity and that will not only be the benefit to the future development of the local logistics industry but also serves a good reference to other industries, for instance, warehouse automation project for a retail distribution centre, supply chain management transformation project for a local healthcare facility, and logistics automation projects for local hospitals. Furthermore, Philip dedicates himself to people development to mentor and connect young engineers and graduates with the local logistics industry and offer them internship opportunities.
