The maintenance strategies are crucial for the longevity and reliability of equipment and systems. In addition to preventive and corrective maintenance, condition-based maintenance is an emerging focus. This webinar explores the use of sensing devices like RFID, HABD, and FBG to continuously assess the actual conditions of train equipment and discusses the progress made in their development.

Mr. CS Li | Former Maintenance Support Engineer | MTR Corporation Limited

Mr. Li had worked for rolling stock maintenance for 22 years. Before his retirement, Mr. Li took charge of maintenance supports for rolling stock, including depot plant equipment, design work Instructions for the maintenance activities, and technical investigation and evaluation on the safety, reliability, and performance of the systems. Mr. Li participated in consultancy services, including projects for SBS Transit (Singapore), Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corp. (Taiwan), and delivered training on Rolling Stock maintenance strategy to various companies such as Rotem BJMTR, Tianjin Metro and Metro Rio. Mr. Li obtained a BEng. in Electrical Engineering and a member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (UK) and then a Chartered Engineer in 1995.
