Luncheon Seminar Capt. CHEUNG Tai Kee│Chairman of the board of directors of Hong
Kong & Kowloon Ferry Limited
Capt.Cheung Tai Kee is
currently the Chairman of the board of directors of Hong Kong &
Kowloon Ferry Limited and the Director of KEE Marine Service &
Consultant Ltd. He has been served as a marine officer and a
surveyor of ships (nautical) in the Marine Department. He is also a licensed
Harbour Pilot of Hong Kong Pilots Association Limited, an authorized surveyor
under section 7 of the Merchant Shipping (Local Vessels) Ordinance (Cap. 548)
by the Hong Kong Marine Department and registered gas free inspector. He
has involved in international and local maritime industry for over four
decades. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________
The development of the
ferry industry in Hong Kong to the present state will be introduced.
Diversity of ferry services and role of ferry in infrastructure project as well
as the future and opportunities will be highlighted. Management and
operations as well as training aspects will be discussed. Challenges and
difficulties imposed by manpower and licensing arrangement will be addressed at
