1. Statement of Practices
The personal data collection in this Enrolment Form ("the data") will be used by The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong ("CILTHK") for the purposes of processing your application ("the Application") to enroll in the CILTHK event/activity, making logistical arrangements, compiling statistics and keep records of your attendance, facilitating the applications for Continuing Professional Development ("CPD") of such event/activity and other related matters.
In making the Application, it is obligatory for you to supply CILTHK with the data requested in this Enrolment Form except as otherwise indicated. The consequence for you if you fail to supply such data is that CILTHK will not be able to process the Application.
The data may be provided to such persons within CILTHK whose proper business it is to have access to and assist in the processing of the Application and related matters. The data may also be provided to the event/ activity facilitators/ workshop leaders/ presenters and other persons who may assist CILTHK in attaining the purposes above mentioned.
Any data that is provided to anyone outside of CILTHK will be restricted to what is necessary and not excessive to achieve any intended purpose.
You have the right to request access to and correction of the data. Any such request should be in writing by post to CILTHK, 7/F Yue Hing Building, 103 Hennessy Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong or by email at info@cilt.org.hk. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections to your personal data to protect your privacy and identity.
2. Direct Marketing
We may use your personal data including name, email address and correspondence address to inform you of or send you material on our news and development, CPD activities, members' benefits, goods, services, facilities and events organised or sponsored by us or other organisations.
If you do not wish your personal data to be used for the above purposes, you may send a request to info@cilt.org.hk or in writing to 7/F, Yue Hing Building, 103 Hennessy Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong notifying us that you do not wish your personal data to be used for such purposes.
