Nowadays, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a pre-requisite requirement for members of all leading professional institutes around the world. There are two types of CPD recognized by CILTHK: “Structured” (formal learning) and Unstructured” (informal learning). >>> Structured CPD can be acquired through structural study; like attending related technical meetings, seminars, lectures, and courses.
>>> Unstructured CPD can normally be acquired through self-study; like reading a book or conducting a research study. The CPD Audit will be executed in April 2026. Members are advised to ensure completing their CPD records on the CILTHK website (CPD points recording system), and selected members may be required to submit relevant documents relating to non CILTHK activities for auditing purposes.
